Biography
*On Nov. 6, Colia Clark lost her bid for election with 1 percent of the votes, according to unofficial results from the Onondaga County Board of Elections.
-Clark has worked in the fields of women’s rights, workers’ rights and advocated for youth and the homeless. She is a chair of Grandmothers for the Release of Mumia Abu Jamal.
-Former special assistant to Medgar W. Evers, field Secretary for the NAACP during the Civil Rights era. Clark also worked with the Mississippi Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) doing voter registration work.
