Biography

Occupation: the AFL-CIO Labor Liaison at the United Way of Central New York

Family: One son and a grandmother of two

Education: Nottingham High School; Industrial Labor Relations Certificate of Study (Cornell University)

Community Involvement: Co-Founder & President of Mothers Against Gun Violence in Syracuse, after her son survived two violent attacks by knife and then by gun. The group stands vigil with families who’ve lost members to gun violence. Hudson also is a member of United Auto Workers Local 624; Trauma Response Team; Women Transcending Boundaries Advisory Council; the NAACP and Operation Big Vote. She is a Workforce Development Institute Trainer and also a volunteer with the William G. Pomeroy Foundation, recruiting people of color as marrow donors. In 2010, she won a Post-Standard Achievement Award.
