*In 2011, Brian May, R-Baldwinsville, was elected to succeed fellow Republican Richard Lesniak, who decided not to run for re-election, for the OCL District 1 seat.

Biography

Occupation: Management consultant. On his website, May lists his professional background as 11 years management experience in the employee benefits and group insurance industries; 6 years communications technology-marketing experience; 8 years with the Syracuse Chamber of Commerce.

Education: B.S. in marketing and management, SUNY Empire State College.

Family: Wife, Gina; four children in Baldwinsville public schools.

Community Activities: Republican Committee, Baldwinsville Little League, parishioners of St Mary’s Church.

Past Offices

In 2004, appointed to Lysander Town Board. Since 2008, has been elected deputy supervisor three times. Has been on the town’s committees for planning and zoning; insurance; information technology, personnel and labor relations; and parks and recreation. Has been a GOP committee member since 2003.
