NORTHFIELD, N.H. (Jan. 5, 2012) — After coming in second in the Iowa caucuses, Rick Santorum is getting a second look from New Hampshire voters this week. WATD’s Amanda Watkins was in Northfield talking to voters this morning about how Iowa has affected their views of Santorum.
Rick Santorum’s town hall meeting in Northfield this morning was standing room only. Some of the crowd were already committed to voting for Santorum. But others said after his showing in Iowa they wanted to take a closer look at the candidate.
Tim Moreau, 28, of Northfield was at the town hall meeting with his two nephews. He says that he didn’t know much about Santorumh until his strong finish last week.
“I honestly hadn’t really heard of him until then but now I am a lot more interested and I would like to see what he stands for.” (Tim Moreau of Northfield)
Moreau said he wants to get to know Santorum better.
“I would like to see where he is on foreign policy and big subjects pretty much.” (Tim Moreau of Northfield)
Santorum will be traveling all over New Hampshire this week campaigning before the Jan. 10 primary, trying to do even better than in Iowa.
