The gun law, approve that. Take the gun out of streets and disarming them. And I just want more jobs for the young people. They need training for employment, for better jobs.”
(Tom Manning, around 50, of Syracuse, supervisor of Center for Community Alternatives, Democrat)

Social Security, because I am getting to be older. Public transportation.  I tried to vote for the candidate who supports transportation, like Barack Obama — because I work for Centro. I work for Centro and I use Centro, and I think public transportation should be supported. It is very important to the economy in Central New York.”(Christen Owak, 56, of Syracuse, customer service worker at Centro, Democrat)

To improve the society, get violence off the streets and put more cameras out on the streets.”
(Jamesna Robinson, 14, of Syracuse, goes to Henninger High School)

Congress needs to move out of the way and allow some of the positive things to happen without basically being slaves to large corporations. Local government needs to look after not only special interests and corporations that are supposedly going to be bringing money to local economy. But they need to look after local citizenry also.”
(Andre Hernandez, 44, of Syracuse, teacher in the Syracuse City School District, Democrat)

(William Neilguy, 54, retired security guard, of Syracuse, Republican)

(Jingnan Li is a graduate student in magazine, newspaper and online journalism.)
