CONCORD, N.H. (Jan.6) — Some Arkansas Travelers are in new living quarters after a hotel fire in Nashua, New Hampshire.  Richard Zussman tells us these Hillary Clinton supporters are still in good spirits even after the fire.

Tim Giattina returned back to his hotel on Saturday after a morning of knocking on doors and talking to voters.  Giattina was getting ready to leave the hotel and continue working for Senator Clinton when the fire alarm went off.  He says, in this case, it was no false alarm.

[“Smoke moved from the back corner and moved down back wing and was coming out the other end.  There was a fair bit of smoke.  I’d say it went on for an hour ” Giattina]

All the guests were forced out of the hotel by fire, smoke and water damage.  Giattina is one of 74 volunteers from Arkansas staying at the hotel.  They have come to New Hampshire to help Senator Clinton.

Some of the volunteers lost cell phones, clothes and computers in the fire.  Corey Villines is one of the travelers.  She says the fire isn’t slowing them down.

[“It’s not stopping us.  We’re still going.  We’re going to keep going until she wins.” Villines]

Officials are investigating the cause of the fire, but say they don’t believe foul play was involved.  The Arkansas Travelers have been moved to a hotel at Chelmsford, Massachusetts, just across the state line.

For FM 89 News, I’m Richard Zussman in Nashua, New Hampshire.
