Occupation: Describes himself as a private business owner.
To The Post-Standard, he has also said that he is a part-time coach for exercise and sports in an after-school program for a Boys and Girls Club at Bellevue Elementary School and runs a snack-shack at Harlow Park. He also runs a hall of fame for local athletes in Harlow Park, at 436 E. Castle St. and Renwick Avenue. From 2002 to June 2009, he was deputy commissioner of Syracuse City Department of Public Works (2002 – June 2009).
Education: bachelor’s degree in sociology from Syracuse University; certification in alcohol and drug addiction counseling from University College; graduate of Onondaga Community College’s Public Safety Institute in critical incident management.
Family: wife, Joanne, who is principal of Bellevue Elementary School; daughters, Nicole and Charla; and sons, Justin and Darell.
