CONCORD, N.H.  (Jan.4) — Mike Huckabee has launched his New Hampshire campaign a day after his victory in the Iowa caucuses. Richard Zussman tells us Huckabee comes into New Hampshire with help from his home state.

Little Rock resident Alice Stewart is getting near the end of a long day. As Huckabee’s press secretary, she has organized half a dozen morning show interviews, catered to a bus full of journalists and helped organize the New Hampshire kick-off.

She also was press secretary for Huckabee while he was governor.

She says there have been big differences between her time in Little Rock and on the campaign trail.

[“Scrutiny in a way that every single thing you do and say is under a microscope. Especially now with the Governor’s popularity as high as it is.  And after his win in Iowa.” Stewart]

Stewart has been on the road with Huckabee since he declared his candidacy to be president on January 27th. But she jokes the rigors are a trade-off with the benefits.

[“No sleep. Bad food.  But great fun.  It’s a great blessing to have this experience.” Stewart]

Stewart says the support from the citizens of Arkansas have made the campaign trail feel more like home.
